Personally, I only use Rec League. I hadn't been on social media since 2020 until this app came around. It's a welcoming, thoughtful space for sharing that feels low stakes. I like using it during work breaks or between gigs for fun. I usually learn something new and leave feeling: neutral, delighted, amused, inspired. It isn't ugly (in design or content) or filled with slop (like most corners of the internet) or trying to sell things in ways that don't feel genuine (I tried that for a day and hated it). What can I say: I tend to draw a hard line?

Here's a Richard Serra oil stick print with some moderately hard lines (much better in person because you can see the texture of the unique blend of oil and feel the impression on the paper; these prints form crystals on the surface so there's a whole conservation process that is involved in keeping them alive).
