
@Nick Spain reced an article written by Zadie Smith about dancing and writing today. It’s excellent (Zadie Smith and Swing Time, incredible) and reminded of Browning’s work.
If you liked “All Fours,” you might appreciate the way Browning uses the novel as a performative tool to seduce the reader, or the paramour. And both have a relationship to dance that informs this dynamic of textual performativity. It won a Lambda Literary Award in 2012.
