Paradise by Toni Morrison

Paradise is a book I return to as a way of thinking about how utopia and dystopia are often two sides of the same coin. There are gorgeous, small moments of sanctuary that I want to dwell in; they are swiftly punctured. Toni Morrison's writing is breathtaking. Paradise isn't everyone's favorite in Morrison's oeuvre but it is definitely mine.
